Welcome to my new blog which I set up to document my weekend sewing adventures. I am working on a great dress this weekend. A simple sheath dress in a wonderful fabric I purchased from Vogue fabrics by mail Winter 2014. The fabric is a Poly/Rayon/Spandex in a beautiful eggplant color. I purchased enough fabric to make a simple sheath dress and ended up with slightly less than one yard which I plan to use to make a skirt. My next project will be a jacket. I have never made a jacket before so I selected a simple pattern with no collar or buttonholes. Baby steps.
My goal is to make the following garments over the next three months.
1. Eggplant dress
2. Silk jacket (from my fabric stash)
3. Eggplant skirt
4. Taupe Blouse (need to find perfect fabric)
5. Plaid Dress (Vogue fabrics polyester rayon)
6. Jean Jacket (need to find perfect fabric)
7. Eggplant Tee shirt (Vogue fabrics poly/spandex)
8. Gray knit Dress (from my fabric stash)
Pretty ambitious considering I am an accountant and work a lot of overtime in January and February.
